Goodbye dear Neighbors / Auf Wiedersehen liebe Nachbarn / Arrivederci cari vicini

After everything was packed and the house pretty clean we had to say goodbye to our dear neighbors: It was hard on us, but we want to make the blessings count: Thank you all for the wonderful time we had on your street!

Nachdem alles gepackt und das Haus geputzt war mussten wir unsere Nachbaren gruessen: Es war ein trauriger Moment fuer uns alle, aber wir moechten unserer Dankbarkeit ausdruecken. Die Zeit an diesem schoenen Ort  mit so vielen lieben Nachbaren

wird uns immer in guter Erinnerung bleiben!

Dopo che abbiamo fatto tutti i pacchi e la casa era pulita dovevamo salutare i nostri vicini. Era un momento triste per noi tutti, ma vogliamo esprimere la nostra gratitudine. Ci ricorderemo con gioia del tempo passato in questo posto speciale con tanti cari vicini.

Move / Umzug / Traslocco

 

 

Yes, while all these exciting things happened, we were also moving out. Thank you to everybody who helped in a way: Bringing diners, helping packing, trasporting, cleaning, babysitting and many more things.  By monday afternoon we were done and we felt done…

Ja, waehrend wir so viele schoene Momente hatten, haben wir auch gepackt und die ganze Uebersiedlung organisiert. Wir sind sehr dankbar fuer alle Freunde, die uns geholfen haben.

Si, mentre avevamo tanti momenti belli abbiamo organizzato il traslocco. Era molto lavoro ma siamo grati per tutto l’aiuto che abbiamo ricevuto da tanti amici.

Davide’s Birthday / Davide’s Geburtstagsfeier / Festa di compleanno di Davide

Well  -  we even had a birthday in the last week in LA, it was Davide’s and it was a very special moment to celebrate his 7 years with a Pool Party. And another time CA weather was unpredictable, it was a definitely ‘cool’ Pool Party. Thank you for everybody for coming  – and enduring. Davide was very happy and excited.

Wir hatten auch noch einen Geburtstag in der letzten Woche in LA, der von Davide und es war gut diesen besonderen Tag mit einer Pool Party zu feiern. Und noch einmal hat sich das kalifornianische Wetter als unvorhersagbar erwiesen, es war eine ‘coole’ Party. Danke allen fuers Kommen und ausharren, Davide war sehr gluecklich!

Avevamo anche un compleanno nella nostra ultima settimana a LA, quello di Davide ed era bello di poter celebrare i suoi 7 anni con unna festa nella piscina. E un altra volta il tempo californiano era inprevedivibile – era una festa veramente ‘cool”. Grazie a tutti di essere venuti. Davide era molto contento.

Mattia graduating / Mattia’s Abschlussfeier / Mattia finisce il programma prescholastico

Brief, otherwise I will never be able to update the Blog… Masters kids graduation for Mattia – everybody in the family graduated from something in these 4 years, except Mommy! But Mommy was very glad that everything went well – it was the third party in 16 with 200 people in which she had responsabilities.

Kurz, da ich es sonst nicht schaffe, den Blog aktueller werden zu lassen… Abschiedsfeier fuer Mattia von seinem Vorschulprogramm – alle in der Familie hatten in diesen vier Jahren wenigstens ein Abschlussfest mit dem charakteristischen Gewand und Hut, ausser Mama! Aber sie war sehr froh, dass alles gut ging – es war das dritte Fest in 16 Tagen mit rund 200 Gaesten, fuer das sie Verantwortungen hatte.

Breve, se non non ce lo faccio di arrivare a cose piu attuale nel Blog… Cerimonia di fine del programma prescholastico per Mattia – tutti nella famiglia avevano al meno una cerimonia con il vestito e il capello caracteristico in questi 4 anni, tranne la mamma. Ma lei era contenta che tutto e andato bene, era la terza festa in 16 giorni con 200 ospiti in cui aveva delle responsabilita.

On may 24th in the evening we had after the evening service a moment in which we two european families, the Staniscis and the Mantens were presented to the church. Martin Manten and Lucio had the possibility to explain our future ministries to the church. It was great to have the possibility to great many friends after this.

Am 24. Mai war die Aussendungsfeier (oder: Zuruecksendungsfeier…) fuer zwei europaeische Familien, die Mantens und wir, die Staniscis. Martin Manten und Lucio hatten die Moeglichkeit ueber unsere zukuenftige Dienste zu berichten. Es war auch sehr schoen am Schluss noch viele liebe Freunde gruessen zu koennen.

Il 24 di maggio era un momento in chiesa di presentare due famiglie europee (la famiglia Manten e la famiglia Stanisci) e i loro ministeri alla chiesa per essere mandati della Grace Comunity Church. Martin Manten e Lucio avevano la possibilita di parlare dei nostri ministeri alla chiesa. Era anche bello di poter salutare tanti amici alla fine del culto.

After Party / Fest nach dem Fest / Festa dopo la festa di addio

 

While we were cleaning up, al sudden we became a pizza delivery through a very dear friend at 6:00 pm and so we just had a great party after the going away party with still about 25 friends! There was also enough icecream in the freezer for everybody.

Waehrend wir langsam mit dem Aufraeumen anfingen erhielten wir durch eine liebe Familienfreundin um 18:00 sehr gute Pizzas. So hatten wir ein Fest nach dem Fest mit immer noch etwa 25 Freunden. Und es war sogar noch genug Eis fuer alle im Tiefkuehlschrank.

Mentre stavamo sistemando un po’ abbiamo ricevuto alle 18:00 una consegna di pizza tramite una cara amica di famiglia. Cosi avevamo una festa dopo la festa, sempre con circa 25 amici. E c’era pure ancora abbastanza gelato in freezer.

We want to say a big thank to all the cooks, who made the big party at our house possible. It was just great for me to see you cooking with joy and enthusiasm and serving so many of our dear friends. May the Lord bless  you richly! (Claudio is not on the picture).

Wir moechten allen Koechen ein grosses Dankeschoen sagen, sie ermoeglichen das wundervolle Fest bei uns. Und es war einfach super fuer mich, alle mit Freude und Begeisterung am Kochen zu sehen. Der Herr segne euch alle reichlich! (Claudio ist nicht auf dem Bild).

Vogliamo ringraziare tutti i cuochi, che ci hanno dato la possibilita di questa grande festa da noi. Ed era grande per me di vedere come stavano cucinando con tanto entusiasmo e gioia. Il Signore vi benedica riccamente! (Claudio non e sulla foto).

Here I am back again with many new posts: Looking back on the wonderful going away party – when I saw you all I just was amazed how many good and dear friends we made in these four years. What a blessing have you all been to us: Thank you.

Da bin ich wieder mit vielen Fotos: Auf unser Abschiedsfest zurueck schauend, habe ich realisiert wie viele gute und liebe Freunde wir in diesen 4 Jahren erhalten haben. Was fuer ein Segen seid ihr alle fuer uns gewesen, danke.

Familienfoto mit dem unwirschen Mattia, was er ja sonst gar nicht ist… Aber er hat halt durch die ganze Feier geschlafen (und ueber das war ich froh…) und so war das nicht gerade der richtige Moment fuer eine Familienfoto…
